Movie Spoiler Crew (Gig 06-001)
This gig's duties and tasks involve a few different things...
- Checking out what movies need to be spoiled yet by checking out the list of unspoiled new releases.
- Let us know what films you want to see. (Films being doled out, upon your telling us you want to see one, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Watch the film.
- Submit your ending to be posted by Sunday night of the week of the film's release, and what the ticket cost ya.
- You will be reimbursed accordingly for what you spent on the admission.
If you are really into this and become a "regular" spoiler crew member, the reimbursement arrangement (i.e. advance payment for movies to be spoiled each week). Also regulars who are deeply into the film watching thing may participate in a Netflix-based program where we'll cover the cost of your subscription, you just need to watch films at home and, similar to the theatre deal, provide the summaries and ending.
This gig is for you if you love movies and would enjoy the opportunity to spoil the movie's endings with others by writing up the ending summary for the site. Ideally, you'd select films you may have wanted to watch anyway, so you're not out two hours of your life -- but we pick up the price of your admission.
This gig is going to expect you to write a short summary of the film, including principal characters, *significant* plot points, and how the film ends.
What's in it for you? For the effort of a brief paragraph of plot and main character summary, and how the flick ends, you'll be reimbursed for the price of admission.
What's in it for me? Time, honestly. With a collection of nearly 2,900 spoiled movie ends posted, and more coming out every week, I lack the time to watch them all AND still have time to live a normal life and such. It's my goal to publish the ending of movie spoilers by Sunday night of the week of the film's release, and when three, four or five films (or more) come out, I can't see them all.
